KE6YUV
Our Antenna Replacement
Our KE6YUV repeater presently uses separate transmit and receive antennas. We are in the process of replacing them with a four-bay folded-dipole antenna. This new antenna will overcome the wind damage we've experienced on the 18-foot verticals. Due to its design and higher location the consistency of coverage should improve. See below how to support this project.
The project cost is budgeted at $2,800 covering the antenna, its mounting hardware, some added safety equipment and the rental of a lift trailer.
Our preparatory steps have been installing Andrew Heliax coax cables and new receive filters. These were accomplished with great ham community support.

Repeater
Upgrade 2025
We are making significant upgrades to the KE6YUV repeater with a new four-element folded dipole antenna. This should assure reliable coverage over the Greater Sacramento Valley and resistance to the hostile environment at Berryessa Peak, ,3,000 feet.
See the video at the right from Michael's K6MRP presentation our our recent board meeting.
